Kate McRae is a 5 year old girl who attends our church and is battling brain cancer. Last June Kate's mom, Holly, took her in to the doctor because of a tremor in her hand only to find out that she had an extremely rare brain tumor. They were able to operate, but could only remove about 1/2 of the tumor due to its complicated location. Kate has been on an intense schedule of therapy in and out of the hospital ever since. She just began her 5th round of chemo after which they will have a follow up MRI to see what success the chemo is having. Kate will likely be in the hospital over Christmas. I am sharing this story now because the McRae's are quite an amazing family. As they battle this terrifying disease they maintain an unwavering hope for their family because of the faith they have in our amazing God. They've also organized a huge toy drive for other families in the hospital over Christmas. Please keep this family in your prayers.
