What have we been up to lately?

We spent our summer relaxing at home, visiting family in Seattle, and vacationing with friends in California. This summer was a treat as Alex was home for 2 months and since I'm working from home now, it allows me to take my work on the road. It was fabulous to go wherever and whenever we pleased!

Our first stop was Seattle to get spoiled by Gramma and Grampa! We spent almost two weeks in Seattle enjoying cooler weather. Alex and I even got to leave Alexis over night and take off by ourselves for a couple days!

There's never a shortage of love from Gramma!

Alexis enjoyed seeing all of the painted pigs around downtown.

Lounging with Grampa in the morning! She had to have her feet up just like him and she insisted that he be the one to hold baby.

After only a few days back at home to unpack, do laundry, and pack again, we were off to California. We spent the first half of our trip in Newport Beach and then a few days in Santa Barbara. It was a great time with our good friends the Bridghams and Sathers.

Daddy's always so much fun to play with on the beach!

Her first try at corn actually on the cob. She loved it! Jen offered her a bite and I think she ended up eating over half of it.

Riding the big bikes in Santa Barbara with her friend Brayden Burks who came down to spend the day with us.

Matching 4th of July jammies for Alexis, Trey, and Avery. Trey wasn't so excited about being stuck for a picture. Who cares about matching jammies to a boy?

When we got home it was time for the transition to the big girl bed. She's done very well and really enjoys the space to move around. She hasn't quite figured out that there is actually a head of the bed. Oh well.

Showing off her new decor!

It really made Daddy proud to see that she fell asleep with her golf clubs!
