I've finally done enough unpacking and laundry that I can spare a little time to blog! We got home Saturday from a great vacation in California. We were having so much fun that the night before we were supposed to come home we decided to stay 2 more days. With Alex being off school we didn't really have a specific day that we had to be home. We had lots of fun with the Sathers playing at their house, going to the beach, to the park, and just relaxing! We also got to go to Santa Barbara for 2 days with the family of one of Alex's students. They wanted to see the Westmont Campus and asked Alex for a tour. How could he say no.....we love any excuse to go to Santa Barbara! Here are some pictures and highlights of our trip.
Alexis climbing through a cave-like tunnel at Laguna Beach
Alexis and Trey playing at the beach. She did actually hit the ball!
The sweetest thing that the girls do every now and then. They fall asleep in the car holding hands. Melts my heart every time I see it!
With the Van Slyke girls in Santa Barbara. Alexis had so much fun running around with "The Big Girls" as she called them. And they were all so very sweet to her.
Cute little feet!
Having fun at the beach!
Daddy and his little girls
Alexis and Trey on the carousel at Irvine Spectrum
Dax and Gabby playing on the floor. This is where they spent most of their time!
And, of course, they always wanted the same toy!
Alexis and Murphy, her favorite playmate at the Sather house! Well, non-human playmate that is. (Trey, you are still #1!)
Alexis and Mommy on the little ferry to Balboa Island. And I do mean little, it only holds 3 cars and a handful of walk-ons. It's only about a 5 minute ride.
The 4 of us on the Balboa Pier
Playing in the pool in the backyard. This was Gabby's first time.
Gabby and Dax in their matching bumbo seats. You can see the warning on Gabby's that says not to put on any raised surfaces...oops. It's a big table, they were fine. They sat in the middle of the table while we all ate dinner.
Thanks for looking at our pictures! We're home for 2 weeks and then we're off to Seattle to visit my family for 10 days. Can't wait to get to a cooler place again!

Great new look! It's so addicting and I too have missed many a shower!
Glad you all had a wonderful time in Cali. The picture of the girls holding hands asleep is so precious. I can see why it melts your heart - it melted mine.
Miss you guys. Thanks for hanging with us. Love, The Sahers
