California Trip, Part 2

I'm finally getting to the rest of our trip to California before Christmas! The last part of our trip was spent with the Sathers for 2 days in Santa Barbara (one of our favorite places to go). Since the weather was beautiful (a little cold, but still sunny) we took the kids to the zoo and, of course, to the beach. We got a smokin' deal on 2 bedroom hotel rooms so we actually had a place to hang out once we put the kiddos to bed. Alexis and Trey had so much fun together as always and it was fun to see the look on their faces when they saw each other again, they were so excited!

You've got to watch these next 2 videos. They've got this slick hill at the zoo that people were sliding down. It was hilarious, but of course we all had to give it a try. People were using their zoo maps as sleds. Who needs the snow???

After the zoo we had lunch right by the beach so we had to let the kids run around for a little while. These two got along so well! Now looking at the world from a parent's perspective, we've come to see the advantages of arranged marriage. So, anyone out there who know's Trey, he's already spoken for!!!! (I know, I know, fat chance. But we can all dream, right? How great would holidays with in-laws be when they're your great friends? Even my parents had a pick for me when I was little. So we'll set the circumstances best we can and see what happens!)
