What an amazing summer we have had! After Montana the girls and I returned to my parents house in Seattle where Alex joined us in the middle of July. From there we drove down to Orange County, CA for our annual trip with our good friends the Sathers and Bridghams.
We arrived home on Friday and after unpacking and doing laundry I've finally gotten a chance to sit at the computer and update. So I'll fill you in on our trip as the pictures go along!

Back at Gramma's house Maggie (my niece) and Alexis enjoyed a Tinkerbell Cake provided by my mom's good friend Linda Wilson. It was such a darling cake and delicious too!
We took advantage of fabulous summer weather and spent a day in Edmonds riding the Ferry, eating lunch, and having ice cream.
Alexis and her daddy on her first ferry ride.
It always makes for a fun day when Gramma and Grampa come along too!
My mom made Alexis a special blanket that she will take to school with her this year. She is very proud of her blanket and has been showing it off to everyone.
Once in California we spent a day with friends down at Balboa Beach. Christmas photo maybe?
After lunch, walking around the pier, riding the Ferris Wheel and carousel, ice cream was the only option left! Alexis was kind to share her large portion with her sister.
The Burks Family drove down from Santa Maria to spend a few days with us all as well. Here we all are at a crazy lunch.....4 families consisting of 9 children all under the age of 4!
And, of course we had to fit in a day at the beach! Here's Gabby getting daring and actually putting her feet in the water.
Alex getting attacked in the water by Avery, Trey, and Alexis.
Alexis playing in the water.
And, baby Linnaea Sather who was just 4 weeks old was a trooper as she got carted around everywhere we went. She pretty much slept the whole time!
Alex and Gabby during a day at the pool.
The whole gang in the hot tub. The Burks were staying in a nearby hotel for a few days, but for a week we had 3 families (6 adults and 7 children under the age of 4 !) living in a 1500 sq ft. 3 bedroom house! It's cozy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
Trey, Avery, and Alexis playing in the water.
Alex, Gabby, Reece, and Chris. Two proud fathers with their little ones! I'm pretty sure they're holding the kiddos apple juice, right?
Alex and Matt lounging in the kid size tubes.
Pretty girls in pink! Gabby, Avery, and Alexis snuggled on the couch.
And Dax, AKA, garbage disposal. Here he has already finished his own dinner and he was going down the table eating out of every dish that was left! Notice he has a fork in each hand.
And the best part of a crazy week in a small house with more kids than parents?
DATE NIGHT!
We always schedule babysitters for one night out at our favorite restaurant, Javier's!
